Endo after Hysterectomy?

From: Gwenn (anonymous@obgyn.net)

I had a hysterectomy in 2000. I was told at that time by my ob/gyn that it would take care of the debilitating endo pain that I was experiencing. 3 years later, I am back at the same spot that I was at that time. I have requested medical records, because they have recommended that I go to a pain clinic, and when I went, the doctors there were acting like my ob/gyn didn't think I had endo to begin with. The records indicate that I had adenomyosis, and that the rest of the organs were "normal" looking. The doctor has told me that it's the scar tissue causing my pain now, but the pain feels just like it did before. Intercourse hurts, urinating causes a panging type pain and all the rest of the stuff fits. Lower back pains, irritibility, low energy insomnia, and all that. I am very frustrated, and when I tried to discuss this with the nurse, she informed me that since he was elected president of the Nat'l Med Assos, he was "too busy to monitor important cases like this as closely as he needs to." I don't know if I should think that this is the endo coming back, or if I'm having mental problems, or if it is just scar tissue. I am frustrated, feeling like a hypochondriac, and all this kind of stuff. My doc has also told me that I had endo, before the hysterectomy was done. I have done Lupron shots, the bcp straght thru, and finally the hysterectomy to take care of it. There were several times where they removed adhesions noted in the medical records, and I just don't know where to go from here. Can anyone offer suggestions, or anything? Thanks
