Support neededFrom: Anissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Jul 26 11:25:58 2003
I am a 12 year sufferer of endo. I have had 5 surgeries and each time more endo is found, along with ovarian cysts, lesions and scar tissue. It's a never ending cycle. I lost my left ovary in 1992, had a hysterectomy in 2001, leaving my right ovary. I had to have the last ovary removed May of 2003. I am in constant pain, and have not had a day of relief for over a year now. The disease has been found on my bladder, bowel, and all throughout my pelvic area. They have never excised it, only lasered it off and told me each time "we got it all". I have daily battles with my bowels and rectal bleeding frequently. I have been out on disability since my surgery on 5/1/03 and am still fighting to get some real help from my doctors and also to get my pay (disability told me 3 weeks after surgery, you should be better and pain is subjective, not a reason to pay me for a leave). Hopefully with the reams of research I am sending them, they will rethink and pay me for the leave. I have had long standing issues at home because my husband just does not understand and does not take the time to research and support me. He is frustrated with the lack of help I am giving in the house. I do as much as I can when I can, but it's not enough. I'm back at the point where I am getting the silent treatment and I cry all the time because I need his love and support to get past this recent escalation in symptoms. I am losing count of the tests they are performing on me. They found polyps in my bowels, cysts within my abdomen wall, nodule on my thyroid, and on an on the list goes. Now I they found arthritis in my back. I need someone that can help me at this time. I need some advice on how to reach my husband so I can have the loving person beside me I started with 9 years ago (when we met) I am a college graduate, with a good job, always tried my best. He thinks I'm a slug now because I can barely do anything without making the pain worse. I thank the Lord for finding this site. Blessings to each and every one of you. Anissa
