Shelly,

I wanted to let you know that your not alone when it comes to being an addict on percocet, I to, would probably consider myself to be very addicted to them, I've been taking perc's now for 8 months, every single day, non-stop. They are pretty much the only thing that stops to pain. Before I had my hyst I was addicted to demerol, VERY ADDICTED to Demerol, and a bit to morphine as well. I went to rehab to rid myself of that, and yes withdrawls were hard, I mean I thought they would kill me. But then I was clean for 9 months until last November all my endo pain came back and I asked my doctor for percocet instead of demerol, i just didnt want to get all caught up in my previous problem with demerol again, I guess once your an addict you will always be, but I didnt take them for recreational purposes, it was STRICTLY for endo pain. It was horrible, I dont think I would ever live those years over again. So I guess for now I will stay addicted to my percocet's until I have another surgury which I hope will be in the next 6 months or so, I just had one 3 1/2 months ago, but the endo came back again. Anyways I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone, its not our fault that we are addicted to drugs, it is because we need them to live our daily life. If you ever need to talk, I'm always here.
