For a physician's reply, you'll need to post on the Women's Health Forum- no docs on the endo forum. I would get several opinions for either future ability to have a child, or the hysterectomy. (hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus only. Removal of ovaries is oophorectomy. Some doctors may vary on whether ovaries should or should not be removed when doing a hyst for endo).Incidentally, taking estrogen won't do much protect your health (latest research shows it does more harm than good), but without it you'll have hot flashes, etc.
