Re: miscarriage of one twinFrom: EndoVictim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Jul 13 22:50:43 2003
Hi, I was reading back in the posts - haven't been here in quite awhile. I noticed no one answered your post. I have had a miscarriage, but it wasn't a twin. And, first I want to give you my condolences for your loss. Even though you have the joy of one child, it's still hard to lose the other. But, I do want to say, that yes it is possible. My neice WAS a twin. But, the other twin died in the first few months. My sister had some spotting...doctor tried to tell her that the baby had died (they only seen one baby the entire time). My sister almost went through the entire D&C process when my WISE aunt told her to get a second opinion. They charted the growth of the baby for 2 weeks. And...of course, the baby grew. They never figured out what was wrong until my sister gave birth. The stillborn twin came out after my niece....quite a shock to us all....especially my sister. I am glad though, that you didn't lose both of your children. And congrats on the baby!!!! Much love, Susan
