Mandy,

Good luck with your surgery in two weeks! I just had a laparoscopy done last month, they found endometrosis and burned it out. The cuts from the laparoscopy were what hurt, not where the endometrosis was burned out. I don't know if this is the same for everyone else, but it was not that bad. I had chest pains for a couple of hours after I woke up from the surgery, they fill your abdomen with CO2 (to see everything easier), so expect some chest pains. Oh, and if they give you Vicodin for pain, it could make you constipated. Which will hurt where the incisions are, sorry it sounds gross, but my friend warned me of that!

My boyfriend had to push me up out of bed because it hurt to use my stomach muscles. I had my surgery on a Tuesday and started to feel a lot better by Friday. I took that Tuesday off of work for surgery and returned to work on Monday. That was probably a good amount of time to recover. Don't be scared about this procedure, you'll be happy to find out what's going on, I did! Then I had proof that I was not crazy and finally found out what the problem was!

Good luck again and post us how you are feeling. Take care...
