The other thing to keep in mind is that UAE only shrinks the fibroid from 10%-50%- most women later have a hysterectomy anyway. The other procedure you can consider if you want to keep your uterus is a myomectomy (takes the fibroid only). The downside is the fibroid may grow back. The only permanent solution for fibroids is a hysterectomny.
