Has ANYONE with severe endo recovered?From: Angela (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Jul 1 15:03:13 2003
I have been researching endo for a couple of years and I have yet to find another person who has a hopeful story. I look at so amny websites, articles, chat rooms, etc... and I cannot find where someone with severe endo has fully recovered through any type of treatment. I am only 25 and I have seen over 11 doctors, been on the back2back treatment of b.c. pills, had surgery including laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, d & c, and a urethral dilatation; I have been on Lupron for three months and now they say that it's not working for me. I can't have sex with my husband- and we haven't even been married one year! I am bloated 24/7, have severe bladder problems (interstitial cystitis), bowel dysfunction (IBS), weight issues (hypothyroidism), chronic fatigue, pain, and all of these are causing major emotional struggles! (not to mention the financial stress) Where do I go from here? No one seems to agree on anything. I have one doctor tell me to do excision surgery, another saying to stay on the Lupron for another 6 months, this other doc telling me that I should have another lap., and one doctor who doesn't know what to do now. I am angry because I just wish that doctors were more aware of the severity of this disease and its effects on women. Does anyone have any type of experience that can give me hope of health? Please feel free to share any advice that may help give me a positive outlook. Thanks everyone and good luck with your own personal struggles.
