Endo Adhesions/Candida Overgrowths - Re:November Posts

Hello everyone. I am new to the boards. I was searching the internet for information on Candida overgrowths - adhesions to the bowels discovered during my endoscopy surgery, and I was taken to posts that were made here back in November by Kimberly Fortney, Christina Carvalho, Kristy Sokoloski and Valerie. They all apparently had similar experiences to my own, and theyre the first people I've met that have! I'm excited to have found posts from people who might have experienced something like I did, and wanted to share my experience and ask them some questions. Are any of those people still around?

I had severe cramping, constipation, low grade fever, vomiting, difficulty urinating, all the same symptoms many of you mentioned before my surgery - back in late May. My doctor had me on ANTIBIOTICS - Macrobid... and made me lie in bed at home for two weeks in intense pain on this medicine. I kept telling him he needed to do something, that it was getting worse, and I couldnt even walk to the bathroom hardly. I didnt have a clue then what might be wrong. Finally after two weeks (and him not really believing anything was wrong with me) he did the lapriscopy - when they opened me up there were white "tentacle looking" growths from my colon, wrapped around my bowels, everywhere!! I was sent home from my day surgery on Morphine. Two weeks later at the follow-up, my small town doctor told me these adhesions looked like something he'd never seen before - normally they would call them adhesions from a former surgery (but I'd never had surgery)... so, he just called them growths of unknown cause, and said he didnt know if theyd grow back. When I told him that even though the severe cramping was gone, that I still had awful bowel problems and digestive problems, he said I probably had IBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He basically dismissed me! (He's an OB/GYN) A week later the cramping started slowly coming back, and I used my family doctor to get a referral to Duke Medical Center. Now, I've been researching online, and I had already figured out that I think this is Candida Overgrowth, but what do y'all think, those of you who DO HAVE THIS?????? Am I crazy????? Shouldnt that doctor have done a biopsy to see if it was yeast???? And, if I can figure out that it might be yeast, couldnt HE do that?? My Duke appt is July 15th... Any help or advice y'all can give me would be appreciated. The four of you that posted in November are the first people I've found on line that have listed that you had an endoscopy and had growths just like or similar to mine!! HELP me if you can!!
