Thanks very much for replying so quickly! I have asked the gynaecologist about the possibility of laser surgery - I would much prefer that option - but he says he would have happily done that during the laparoscopy, but the endo is too advanced and extensive. However, the harmonic scalpel is an idea I haven't heard of as yet, and I shall certainly ask about it. Once again, thank you very much indeed for your helpful reply. Lulu
