Diagnosis shock

From: Louise (anonymous@obgyn.net)

Yesterday I was told that I have stage 3 endometriosis. I was told that I could either try a 6 monthly course of Zoladex or have a radical hysterectomy. I am 35, single and have no children. I feel paralysed by this news. Laser treatment is not appropriate, as the disease is apparently too extensive. My falopian tubes and ovaries are particularly badly affected. Has anyone tried Zoladex? Will it make a difference? (I don't know if that is the drug's name in the UK only, or elsewhere too). I am well supported by people who love me, but nevertheless, feel as if I am sinking into a hole.
