Granted, it's likely that what many of us are dealing with, but there are too many factors involved to talk about that as the only cause. In fact, a very small percentage of men who have received female hormones as therapy for medical conditions have developed endometriosis implants. Strange, but true. There are theories suggesting that a predisposition for the disease begins while we're developing in the womb.
