Stg 4 endo, trying to get pregnantFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Jun 20 10:55:05 2003
My name is Amy and I am 35 years old. I have been trying to get pregnant for about 1 1/2 years. Started seeing a fertility specialist in Dec. '02...my husband had semen analysis which was normal; I had HSG (normal) and then a laparoscopy in Jan. '03. My doctor found (lots) endometriosis (stage 4), endometrioma and adhesions around my right ovary, and 4 fibroids. I never knew that I had all this until my surgery. I was devastated...I knew it was going to be really difficult to get pregnant now. My doctor told me the best option would be artificial insemination and maybe IVF. He wanted to do this a month after the surgery but my husband and I wanted to see if we could try to get pregnant the natural way first. Did we do the wrong thing? Should we have done what he told us? Would love some advice. Thank you!!!
