Gail,
I don't know if this info will help, but I am in my 30's, and on lupron
depot. It took my body around 3-4 weeks to get used to it. In those
first few weeks, I had heavier periods, and more pain!! But I stayed
with it,and found that my pain has disipated about 98% now. I have been
on it for almost a year now, and don't seem to have too many unbearable
side effects, thank God. Although the hot flashes aren't the greatest.
But they are better than the pain.
What I do worry about, is that my bone density scan showed I did have
some bone loss in my spine. I will be taking add back therapy for the
rest of my treatment with Lupron. Everyone is different, and some
people have had horrible side effects. (to me bone loss is pretty
horrible, if it can't be reversed)I would learn and read everything
about it first. Then decide what is right for you. Good luck and God
Bless!
