Depo Provera

I was finally diagnosed with endo back in 1997 after many years of pain and be told that this pain was natural. I had my first lap in Jan '98 at which time I lost half of a ovary due to a large chocolate cyst the size of a grapfruit. Within months the pain came back and since then I have been on a coarse of birth control as well as 6 months of hell on Zoladex, with which I am still cannot loose the excessive weight and I feel that I am not the same person that I was before the Zoladex.

I had my second lap May 9th/03, at which point I feel the pain has gotten worst, this time I had endo behind my uterus, on my colon and around what is left of my ovaries. The pain I have is not really cramps but a horrible pain around my rectum...I'll take cramps anyday to this pain.(I too know that if I had to give birth that I could do it naturally). Since my last lap I only get to see my dr. tommorow for my post op and one of the things he had mentioned to me is that he wants to put me on Depo Provera but I know I could not live through the same experience that I went through with Zoladex. I'm very confused at the moment because I'm 38 and still want children or else I would have a hysterectomy.

I'm so tired of living like this at the moment I can't keep a job because of the amount of days I miss due to the pain, I'm tired of this damn disease having control of my body. My last serious relationship ended because my boyfriend couldn't handle this illness and me being depressed all the time. I'm sorry if this is a little long but I hope somebody could help with any info on Depo. I would really appreciate it and thank you for letting me vent.

Gail please feel free to email me.
