I am 31 yrs old and had a lap done back in Nov of 2002 and they found endometriosis on my abdominal wall along with some scar tissue. The doctor was not able to remove all of the endo though at that time. For treatment, i have been receiving monthly injections of Lupron and I am on my fifth month (one more to go). I have been fortunate not to have most of the side effects that lupron has with it, except I have gained over 10 pounds though. Recently, my pelvic area has started hurting again in the same place like it did before surgery. During my fifth month of lupron I have been bleeding for more than 3 weeks now and intercourse has become extremely painful. I have a new doctor now since I moved, and he is thinking that it might be an endometrium cyst because when he did his exam, it was very, very painful. I am scheduled for a transvaginal ultrasound this week and wonder if this will show up and also if it is possible for endo to come back even though I have been on lupron? I am very frustrated at this point and need some advice....Also, I do have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome as well. Thanks for your help!
