endometreosis questionFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Jun 10 11:57:36 2003
I am 32 years old and just gave birth to my third child 8 months ago. I had a tubal after I had my son. In 1992, I was unable to get pregnant and had a laproscopy and had endometreosis. The month after my surgery I was able to get pregnant with my first child. My question is if you have had endo. before what are the chances of it returning? I was told that my periods may be worse after having a tubal but for the past 5 months my periods last about 8 days, I cramp before, during and after my period, the bleeding is extremely heavy and it seems to get worse each month. I just had blood work done at my ob/gyn's office and everything came back normal. They said if I continue to have problems, then I need another lap. surgery. Does anyone know if when you have a tubal done, can't they see if you have endo? I was wondering if anyone knows if there are other treatments or ways to find out before just having surgery again. Thank you for any suggestions.
