<<He gave me the option of just going ahead and taking Lupron to help the unknown problem<<

Definitely read the following important article from one of the Endo organizations:

"Alert Concerning the Use of Lupron® et. al. as a Diagnostic Technique: It is becoming an increasingly popular trend among certain physicians to push for pre-diagnostic GnRH usage; that is, administering Lupron®, Zoladex® or Synarel® to their patients in whom surgical confirmation of the disease has not been obtained. The ERC does not advocate the use of GnRH agonists in this manner and strongly opposes such practice. For more information, read our position paper on "the Use of GnRH Agonists Prior to an Endometriosis Diagnosis." (PDF document) MORE:" http://www.endocenter.org/pdf/PreDiagnosisGnRH.pdf

You need a free acrobat reader to access it, but it's well worth the 5 second download it takes to get it if you don't already have it. Everyone should have a copy of this article, and bring it to their doctor too. This document helped save my sister from a similar scenario to one that I went through; suffice to say it wasn't very pleasant and could have all been avoided had I known what Lupron was all about and refused to take it BEFORE surgery. What a mistake that was.

Get the lap - but get it with a doctor who isn't pushing Lupron and who understands Endo...that way you can get diagnosed and effectively treated all at once. Lupron is a horrendous drug for more than half the women that take it.
