The ERC does not advocate the use of GnRH agonists in this manner and strongly opposes such practice. Everyone should have a copy of this article, and bring it to their doctor too. This document helped save my sister from a similar scenario to one that I went through; suffice to say it wasn't very pleasant and could have all been avoided had I known what Lupron was all about and refused to take it BEFORE surgery. What a mistake that was. Get the lap - but get it with a doctor who isn't pushing Lupron and who understands Endo...that way you can get diagnosed and effectively treated all at once. Lupron is a horrendous drug for more than half the women that take it. Annie
