HI Scared 24 year old--

Your story sounds a lot like my own experiences. I was diagnosed with Endo. after being rushed into surgery 2 years ago for what was thought to be appendicitis; it turned out to be a ruptured ovarian cyst. Six months later, they found another ovarian cyst--the size of a goose egg--on my other ovary, and I had to go under the knife again. I was then put on various drugs and treatments to help the endo. I, too, was a virgin when I was diagnosed and thought it would be the end of the world. I didn't understand what I had done to deserve being told that I might not be able to have children someday. I also couldn't imagine meeting anyone who would accept me for myself and my condition and all the pain that it puts me through and who would want to deal with all that. However, now it's two years later and I am in a loving relationship with a wonderful man. He accepts me for who I am and is the most amazing support for when I am going through frustrations with this condition. I, too, had been told when I was diagnosed with endo. that having a child would be the easiest way to help my condition, but at 24, that was the last thing I would have considered. My secret or advice? I focused on helping myself and dealing with the endo. as best as I could by staying positive and seeking out help from family and friends when I felt frustrated or depressed. I focused on my goals and aspirations on life instead of wallowing in my condition and helplessness that endo. sometimes leads us all to feel. I also was very selective in terms of deciding whom I wanted to spend my time with in a relationship. Thus I waited for the person who seemed to be the most loving, supportive, and positive person who is there for me when I need him the most and accepts me for who I am. It helps tremendously. Hope that helps....
