Can anyone recommend an Endo specialist near the Kansas City area?

I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 1999 when my OB/GYN did a laparoscopy. He gave me pictures of the endo that were taken during the procedure and explained that my case was too severe to do anything about in that procedure as it could cause a lot of scar tissue which would outway any benefit. I was 30 years old and trying to conceive. I was also diagnosed with PCOS and my Dr. said it could be either one keeping me from becoming pregnant. I had a "blighted ovum" about 6 months previous and still had not regained my cycle. I was told that was the PCOS. My Dr. wanted me to undergo Lupron therapy for 6 months and try to conceive after that. I read about Lupron and didn't want to do it. We settled on trying Clomid, but my Dr. didn't really think it would do it because he felt the endo was probably to blame, not the PCOS. I was lucky and got pregnant the second month. We have a 2 1/2 year old little boy!

Last summer, 2002, after my cycle returned, I had intense pain--especially in the rectal area. My OB/GYN once again recommended the Lupron therapy, this time I agreed to try anything to ease the pain. I had the first injection August 2, 2002 and the second injection November 1, 2002. I want to make this part very clear to everyone--they will tell you that the injection is to be given the first day following your cycle. IF YOU ARE SPOTTING, THAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A DAY OF CYCLE! The nurse at my OB/GYN told me incorrectly that a little spotting didn't count and we did the injection that day. I had 2 weeks of the most intense, horrific pain I have ever experienced in my life. My organs had all ballooned and my OB/GYN said my ovaries were 4 times their normal size. It felt as if my organs were going to burst out any body cavity available. That was the first injection. The 2nd went smoothly and I was pain free from September 2002 thru the first part of May 2003. It is all coming back and I just got my cycle back this week. It is extremely heavy and painful.

I am also having problems with reflux and my family Dr. put me on 30mg Prevacid for the last month and it is doing nothing. I had an ultrasound of my gallbladder last week, which shows no stones, but there is a polyp. Could this be endometrial adhesions? After my lap in 1999, my OB/GYN did say that there were adhesions further north in the body cavity than he had ever seen. I am wondering if we shouldn't do another laparoscopy to see if the endo has advanced. I have painful bowel movements and am very concerned that I may have some serious problems.

Can anyone recommend a good Endometriosis specialist in the Kansas City area? Thanks for your time and I hope you all have a wonderful day.
