i did lupron for 3 months, then had to stop. too many problems with
depression, and the pain just got worse. my doc wants to do an excision
surgery instead. instead of just lasering the implants, he'll actually
cut them out. i'm getting it done in june.
i have been on continuous birth control pills for about 5 weeks almost
6. i have noticed no difference between the pills and the lupron
w/aygestin. i just don't spot anymore. still have the hot flashes and
night sweats. still have the pain. but i'd rather do birth control
pills than lupron.
see if your doc can do excision. it's still a laparoscopy. it's still
outpatient. and insurance should cover it just fine. it's supposed to
be really effective compared to the normal type of surgery docs do for
endo. i was all prepared to ask for my doc to do a hysterectomy too.
but he brought up excision surgery. so i'm hoping it works.
again, ask your doc. a hysterectomy is pretty final. and with all the
stuff in the news about hormone replacement, i would wait a while on it.

Told him, I am hurting again. Although, he seemed to sympathize, I am not quite sure he understood what I was telling him.... SO, with my husband in the room (he's only 27) I told the doctor, no i don't think you understand... I CAN NOT HAVE SEX!!! Maybe that loudly. I get to stop using Lupron, and try a birth control pill, for three months. If that doesn't work I will be scheduled for a HYSTERECTOMY.
