Have you heard of sciatica? It sounds like you may be suffering from sciatica- or a pseudo form of it. pseudo sciatica happens when the sciatic nerve gets pinched, usually from surrounding muscles. I suggest you try getting massage, especially have work on the gluteal (butt) muscles and hamstrings.

A lot of women suffer from sciatica during pregnancy, as the baby grows and impinges on the nerve.

Question: did this start before or after any surgeries or laps? I get a stabbing in my left glute from some minor nerve damage during a lap.
