Re: what is lupronFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri May 30 01:54:00 2003
Kirsti, I don't know if you have ever heard of Zoladex but Lupron is a drug similar to Zoladex in that the way it's designed to work it is supposed to help suppress the hormone production and put the woman in to a pseudomenopausal state (similar to the real menopause) in an attempt to try and slow the growth of the endo down. It works for some women but not for all. They are starting to use this in Europe now even though it's been used a lot here in the U.S. When I did Zoladex and was trying to find info on it I had to ask for help from the European women b/c it is used so much over there. I hope that this helps. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html For women who are interested in additional support http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Endo_Vulvodynia_PCOS/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Zoladexforendometriosis/ I am a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences.
