Lap's and Hyst'sFrom: KAREN (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed May 28 13:05:13 2003
On May 16th I just had my 13th surgery. I have had 5 lap's, this last one being the worst for work wise. In 1995 during a emergancy lap I found out I had very bad stage 4 endo covering most of my pelvic organs. That explained lots.... Through lots of surgery's and med's I was able to have 3 kids which I thank god for everyday even if they have me up the wall. :) In Feb of 1999 I was ready for my hyst but only being 28 my Dr wanted to leave a ovary so we did knowing that it would need to come out in time, but he wanted to leave me some of my own hormones. All was ok until a few months ago and I knew it was time to have the ovary out. So almost 2 weeks ago I go in for what was to be a short surgery, turned out 4 1/2 hours later I was out in recovery. The trust and faith I have in my Dr is unreal. Thank god we have such a great realationship I can talk to him about anything. He got in and my bowel was standing up from so many adhesions and endo he almost died, he called in another surgern to help and I am seeing him friday. I really hope this is the last surgery. It is so hard raising 3 kids and trying to be there for them and do school things with them and just being a mom & wife. I pray this is it.
