Re: question to all females who have endo (YOUR HELP IS REQUESTED)

Chris, there isn't necessarily bleach in pads. Actually, any paper products you buy that are white (coffee filters, paper towels, toilet paper, and pads and tampons) have been bleached with chlorine, unless they are specifically labeled as being oxygen bleached. The process leaves dioxin which is a waste product of chlorine bleaching, and is believed to worsen or cause endometriosis. What angers me is that we have to trek to health food stores to get natural products for our periods. Why aren't the big name brands making these products? If Tampax made unbleached cotton tampons (or at least oxygen bleached), I would TOTALLY buy them. Unfortuantely, our society is so obsessive about "cleanliness" that some people would think unbleached anything is "gross" and those products wouldn't do well. Shame.
