Re: Doc Want's To Put 15 yr Old On BC To Stop Menstrual Cycle!!!!!! WHAT???????

When I was 15 I was diagnosed with endo and then put on birth control to stop my periods. It's not that unusual. Just because a 15 yr. old is on b.c. doesn't mean they become sexually active. The goal is to slow the progression of the endo so that when she is ready to make the decision to have children it is her decision to make. I have endo on the colon, bladder, and every where other than my female organs. I lost my left ovary at an early age. I'm now 29 and I don't know if I can have children, my tubes are clear but my uterus is weak. If she ever needs someone to talk to who understands, email me at dt_auto@swbell.net. It's hard enough to make it through the pain of endo and feeling alone without being a teenager on top of that. I felt like it stole my childhood. I was in so much pain it prevented me from after school activites, going to the mall to shop, and at times I felt that no one could possibly understand. Taunya
