UPDATE Re: Is sex painful for you? If so, where? When? Could be TMI...From: Annie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu May 15 18:43:39 2003
Thank you ladies for the input! I do appreciate it! We definately use plenty of lubricant, we cant do it without. And I do like the woman on top position better. I called the advice nurse, and she said that since I have really tried everything she doesnt know what a doc can do for me, but got me an appt. for tomorrow with a different OB/GYN, one that she has confidence in, and says it sounds like I need "fresh ears and a fresh mind" to help me. I think the only thing for me to do would be to take pain meds before and/or after intercourse, but as many of us, I dont want to look like a drug seeker. I have an HMO and every time you go to the doc they print out all of the prescriptions that you have had for the last year, and my list is long and full of Tylenol 3, Vicoden, and percocet. My internal medicine doctor refuses to prescribe me any more narcotic or opiate meds, and so I ended getting Gastroesophogeal Reflux Disease because of all the NSAID's that I took instead of the narcotic/opiate meds. So now I CAN'T take any anti-inflammatory drugs except for Relafen, which does NOT work. I am hoping that my appointment is helpful and not discouraging, I hate going and being told there is nothing they can do for me. Do you have any suggestions on things to say to my doctor to help me get some help instead of being turned away? Thank you thank you thank you ladies! You are all such a great help to me :)
