Re: Depra LupronFrom: Shari (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Apr 28 20:32:33 2003
Hi there, I was on Depo-Lupron for nine months and it worked remarkeably well for me. I had none of my symptoms within the first two weeks of the first injection. And believe me, I had symptoms/problems!! Just about all there is to have--fatigue, pain, pain, pain, irritable bowel, pain during intercourse, and more. It did not help as much the last couple months I was on it and now am on Depo-Provera which seems to help too. Just have the occasional twinge of pain now. I had a very positive experience-had my life back because of Lupron literally. Am sure you will get plenty of negative thoughts on the drug. It effects every person differently. You can get a months injection and see how it is or there is also a nasal spray. I had a three-month injection each time. All I can say is if you are having a lot of pain and it is interrupting your life then I would take the chance on Lupron. I figured I did not have much to lose so I took it. But you should definetally get online and read about its side effects and hear other peoples stories....hope this helps. It is ultimately your decision for your body.
