Any advice on this? Julian, Does your b/f or husband know that the older you are having children the risks are greater? So, if you wait 8 years....you'll be over 30, making the pregnancy and delivery riskier with not only having endo....I too want to have children. I am 20, single w/ no b/f and seems like no one is interested. I mean who wants to date eventually marry someone who is sick all the time? The doctor who I saw Friday when I went back to the hospital cause I had a fever was jokingly pushing me to become pregnant....eventhough knowing he had good intentions in mind, it got me back to thinking that w/ stage IV endo the likelyhood of actually having my own children is little. Do you feel comfortable explaining to your guy that the longer you wait, the less chances of having a child? I bet he's thinking about money, etc...having a baby is a big responsibility and I am sure that he doesn't want to have the child grow up in living paycheck to paycheck....he wants to make sure that there is food to put on the table eachday and a house over your heads. Guys kinda worry over that stuff more so than women. I think if you can't talk to him about this disease and how it affects your fertility, write him a letter. It helped to also read Joe w/ Endo from the ENdometriosis Sourcebook by the ERC. It has a bit of humor but it also puts having endo in the male perspective. It's worth a try....You aren't alone in this.....I am here if you ever need to talk....feel free to email me off the list at keara786@yahoo.com
