glad i'm not aloneFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSun Apr 27 17:28:04 2003
This endometriosis thing is driving me crazy, but reading the emails from all of you helps a great deal to realize I'm not alone. After three grueling years of searching for "What is wrong with me?!" with many different doctors and being misdiagnosed (IBS, PID, ect), given pain killers, and being told "It's all in your head", I finally found a doctor who listened, believed my pain, and did a laprascopy. I have stage two endometriosis. The treatment is almost as bad as the endo and the cysts were, because I'm so moody and dizzy and tired, although I was all that before.... I was on Lupron for three months, which gave me horrible hot flashes, and now I'm on Yasmin 28 birth control pills that hurt my stomache. I guess we just can't win, you know? People treat me like, "Ok, you were diagnosed, and you had the stuff removed, so get over it" but it's not that easy, is it ladies? I'm only 23. Will it be like this always? -Kelly
