Hi I had A hysterectomy last June due to a prolapsed uterus. I was great for six weeks and than after my six week internal all my pain came back. After bugging the gyn who did the hys to re-check me, he found extensive scar tissue. After that I was great for two weeks and than the pain came back again. When I went back, my gyn basically told me he didn't know what to do with me and to not think about hte pain..in other words he's trying to tell me it's in my head!! To make a long story short my AWESOME family doctor recommended me to another gyn in which it took five months to get into see him, and all he said was he felt so bad for me as he knows i'm in pain but their is nothing he can do for me. he told me to go to my family Doctor and have him send me to a bowel specialist as that's where he feels the pain is coming from..thanks for coming!! I was so upset and felt I was at the begining again and no one would listen (other than my family doctor who thank god I have or I probably would loose it by now!!) I went on the internet and thinking it was a long shot began to e-mail urogynecologists my symptoms and story ( ladies on the UPRISe forum told me to go to one as they are more qualified). I did get some replys and took them to my family doctor( he was shocked they got back to me, and was very happy I was keeping on top of things...most Dr.s do not like when you say you were reading up on the internet)anyway it turns out he is going to refer me to a doctor Barry MacMillian from London, Ontario. HAs anyone been to him? Is he good? Are the staff nice? Did he take his time with you? Any info would be great as I have to travel two hours to go see him, and I would love as much info as possible so I am prepared. I'm sick of living in this pain and having everyone turn me away. I'm 25 and I feel like I'm 90. I want to enjoy my kids and husband, but being in this pain doesn't let me do much. Thanks for your time, christina
