Re: broad ligament repley

My question is in regards to the uterosacral ligaments. I would like to know if these are the ligaments that support the uterus? And if so, what would happen if one of them were (cut) interrupted accidently. (mistaking for a right tube during a tubal) Would that have an effect in the future? I am a 40 year old, which this has happen to and my concern is am I more apt to have a prolapsed uterus, or a tiltled uterus? Thank you

The broad ligaments support and stabilize the position of the uterus and associated reproducative organs. The ovaries, uterine tubes, and uterus are enclosed within the broad ligaments. The picture that I am looking at reminds me of a ducks webbed foot. The ligament is the part that holds everything together and in place so it doesn't move around.

I am not sure what type of symptoms someone would have if they have endo on these ligaments. Let me know if you have anymore medical question, I might be able to answer them.
