s/p laproscopic surgery 6wks for endo, complications, Dr plse answer

Question at the bottom.

I have endometriosis. 2nd surgery done 6wks ago. Stage 3. Left fallopian tube and left ovary were attatched to my sigmoid colon. Viable left ovary and Dr was able to unattatch it from colon. Scar tissue was severe he said. Endo also found on my colon.

In the recovery room I had this BURNING pain down my Legs, morphine did not help. It has never left. Also had UTI while in hospital. They put a fluid called (Hiscon?) in my pelvic region to help my ovaries float. This fluid leaked from my peritineum cavity to my left labia. Swelling is now gone. I did not have a BM after surgery for 9 days.

I have had my 1st cycle 4wks after surgery. It was worse than ever. BM are now not normal as before surgery. I seem to be constipated more. Week 5, again I have UTI and now diagnosed with B.vaginosis. Pain is BURNING still in my legs, but not consistent on a 24hr basis. Pain is on a scale of 3-10. I do not take pain meds because they do not affect this pain. Now the burning is not only in both legs, but vaginal area, always felt in in ovary-but now entire abdomen. Starting to feel pain in arms and lower back when it gets to higher pain level.

I have seen my GYN/surgeon of course and still under his care, but I have also seen a family Dr who diagnosed me with BV. Family Dr suggested irritable bowl syndrome and/or insulin resistance. He ordered lab work which will be back and I return in 2 weeks.

My question is what questions do I ask him? My pain is so severe that I cry myself to sleep and take a Xanax to even fall asleep. Gyn/Surgeon wants to send me to a Neurologist if the leg pain does not get better. Family Dr is suggesting irritable bowel syndrome. Yes, I do now have problems with my bowel and can feel pain worse on the left side, especially if I have a BM. BUT, it was not this way with leg and constipation pain Before Surgery.

It seems like the explanation that I am trying to tell my Dr is falling of deaf ears. Is there a better way to explain to a physician what I am feeling? Do I see a Neuro and also a Gastro Dr? I just don't understand how BM are worse now and IBS is suggested.

Have any of you experienced patients having nerve pain after surgery? I have tried to talk with my Dr as much as possible, but there is just not enough time in an office visit. He doesn't seem to know why I have this pain either. I just know the burning is terrible, and now from BV the burning is worse in the vaginal area.

Thank you so much for any input. I know this was long, but thank you. I will appreciate very much any replies. Melissa
