-- Hi Mary, I to had this done 4 1/2 weeks ago as well. The discharge will last between 2-4 weeks I was told. However you can begin then a period. I had the discharge for 2 1/2 weeks then had a free week then began my period. Much much lighter period though no complaints. But I understand what you mean about wearing a pad for soo many weeks. My skin was begining to become irritated. Good luck
