Take a look at this site: http://www.hystersisters.com. There are many members with endo, some of whom have had the hyst and others who are considering their options. There is a lot to consider with your history, and many of us would tell you that the hyst is not 100% without significant care in the decision-making process and the surgery itself. My hyst was secondary to a huge endometrioma that looked like ovarian CA by markers, and was NOT a choice...but there are those on that site who've made that choice with varying degrees of success. There are 25,000 members, and among them you may find some of the answers you seek.
