Staging SystemFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon Mar 31 20:40:09 2003
A staging system was developed by the American Society of Reproductive Meicine and is base on the location, amount, depth and size of endometrial implants. Stage 1 Minimal, Stage 2 Mild, Stage 3 Moderate and Stage 4 Severe. These stages may not reflect the level of pain felt, infertility or symptoms present. For instance some women can feel great pain and minimal endo implants are found while other have been found with large mass and feel no pain. It is genetrally accepted however that if it is found at Stage 1 or 2 and treated the higher the increase of future pregnancy altough the usual variables apply, eg speed of growth, location other conditions etc
