I suggest you find a new doctor there are a handful of specialists and I am not referring to any ob/gyn or gyn who has an interest in endometriosis b/c they don't have enough experience. There are a small number of physicians who practice the LAPEX method with surgical excision and many patients with severe cases have gone on to being tremendously better w/o the drugs. I have endo and personally researched this. a good website is http://www.endometriosisassn.org they have on their website where a physician locator for those who specialize in treating endo. The important thing is how many cases a year they handle and if they use lapex. The alternative is not one ablation won't really help you. I have a great doctor here in Atlanta, if you want the name of one. The majority of his patients come from out of state b/c their are so few specialist who use lapex.
