advice please, alternatives to ibuprofen / advil for pain relief

Hi there, hoping that you ladies can please give me some much needed advice. I have been taking large amounts of Advil for several years to dull the endo pain. Well it seems I've developed some sort of ulcer type situation in my stomache, so I need to stop taking ibuprofen (which probably caused the ulcer type deal). I have not found a single other pain killer over the counter that works on the pain. Only ibuprofen does it for me. Tylenol doesn't work, even for headaches and general pain. I have a dr. appt where I am going to ask for a prescription for a strong pain killer that will work quickly, any suggestions on what I should ask for? It has to be a non-ibuprofen, non-NSAID, type of pain killer, hopefully also not habit forming (already got enough bad habits). Thank you for any help you can offer ! Your advice is appreciated.
