I too was told a hyst was really my only option a few weeks ago. However,
after discussing my concerns about a total hyst with my doctor she agreed
I WAS not emotionally ready for a total hyst. I am only 32. I dont know
you specific circumstance but with my situation the endo was taken out via
laparscopy as well as my left ovary. Then she did a balloon oblasion which
burns out the uterus and discountiues periods for a while or for good. I so
far have been happy with this choice for me. I was not ready for the hormonal
issues with young children still running around;-) Good luck.
