Possible solutionFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Mar 18 15:30:55 2003
>Now I am very fearful. I have been told my best chances of conceiving are now. Although at this point in my life I am a single student just trying to get by. I'm in a somewhat similar situation -- had menstrual problems since I was 12, diagnosed at 18 but the doctor could not operate, switched doctors to a reproductive endocrinologist and took Danocrine and then Lupron at 18 and 19, had four surgeries, including a salpingo-oophorectomy this last winter. Left ovary had stuff on it also. Currently 26 years old and single. My doctor mentioned during my pre-operative appointment the possibility of having eggs taken from my ovary, frozen, and used at some later time for invitro. I actually do not wish to have children, but this may be a nice option for you, since you feel that you would like to have them in the future. If you're not currently seeing a reproductive endocrinologist, you may want to switch to one and ask him about this option. I think you'd have to take Clomid and then have the eggs harvested via laparoscopy.
