recovery from upcoming laperoscopy and cystoscopy

I know everyone is different but last time I had these procedures done it was 5 days before I could walk unassisted, 7 days on percocet, 10 days before I left the house, and 16 days before I felt "better." My doctor sent me home with a note saying I needed to "rest with the help of my husband for 3 days." Was my recovery period unusual? Would it be longer than regular laser laperoscopy because of the cystoscopy or biopsy (since it was my first)...but if so wouldn't my doctor know that I suggest I need help longer than 3 days? I have a friend who has had 7 laperoscopies and never spent more than 2 days on the couch after. She only needed Torodal for pain- I use this for regular cramps. Am I a suck??? Amanda
