Re: bowel problems not related to endo???

I had severe bowel pain prior and during my periods. It could be due to scar tissue between your bowel and uterus. When your uterus contracts and if your bowel is attached with scar tissue, it's painful. My last surgery I had to have a bowel resection. Ask your doctor about endo or scar tissue being attached to the uterus and bowel is possibly causing your pain. Kelly <anonymous@obgyn.net> wrote:At Sun, 2 Mar 2003, Tina wrote: >

If the pain does not improve he will recommend to my primary care physician that I have a colonoscopy..... uh that does not sound comfortable!!!!!! He thinks I might have colitis... (I had it once 10 years ago... was on a very strict diet for 1 1/2 years).

I like not having estrogen making the endo grow!!! AND I want to keep it that way.....

>I appreciate he is concerned for my health... and wants to try everything before the hysterectomy.... but, I almost lost my husband before we knew what was wrong with me.... yes, ladies he told me yesterday that he was gonna ask for a divorce just weeks before my surgery... he thought I was lying to him about why i would not have sex with him..... MEN I SWEAR! But, partially is my fault because I thought that if we had any intimacy at all he would think it led to sex. I guess I was wrong... but, aren't men like that??? You kiss them just right and their little guy stands at attention???

first of all --- bowel problems can persist with lupron therapy due to other bowel conditions OR due to the adhesions related to the endo itself

a colonoscopy will show whether you have colitis, invasive bowel endo but it may show nothing at all and leave you with no answers

did your lap show any bowel adhesions????

in so far as endo pain causing difficulties with intimacy and sex it is very sadly true for many many women and im sorry that it caused such severe distress in your marriage
