Re: All advice welcomeFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon Mar 3 08:22:56 2003
First of all, what a caring husband you are, it's so nice to see how deeply you care! Her depression is probably a combination of everything right now! For myself, I also have endo, amongst many other health problems, and I find I do get terribly depressed very often, surgery itself can bring about depression, as she is having pain from that surgery, and, for me, sometimes, the narcotics, and different medicines that they give for pain, can make a person feel pretty darn blue! But, as one of the ladies said, be certain this all is mentioned to her doctor on Tuesday!! My best advice for you, is to be very patient with her, and keep talking to and with her, all you can really do,is let her know , you care, and that you are there for her!!!! It's a tough road , but things will get better in time, and once her surgery discomfort is settled some, and she is able to do more, she may not be so depressed! Having endo and having pain on a regular basis, brings about a total change of one's life, and sometimes, it's just so hard to find a happy medium, and sometimes, it's just plain hard to accept that we are going to be living in pain for a long time possibly, every person is different, and every case is so different!!!! My heart goe's out to you and your' wife, please keep us posted, and just be patient my dear!!! But, please be absolutely certain, the doctor is aware of her state at present!!!!! Cherryl :)
