Re: Considering Lupon Depot - questions about Danizol and Dietary alternatives

Thanks for your response, ZH - and I guess I should address that to everyone who has hopped onto this posting thread. I don't expect to have an easy time with Lupron - even the drug company only claims a 50% efficacy rate and I wouldn't expect the significant physiological disruption to be symptom free.

Congratulations on your successful adoption! Incidentally - I suspect you've also heard that couples who adopt increase their chances of biological conception for some (as yet unspecified) reason, should you desire more than one :).

No one on this site seems to be discussing Danizol (Danicrine?) - which seems to have equally grisly side effects but has the great bonus of being in pill form and thus something that one can 'stop' relatively easily. I've gotten two Gyn opinions and they're split - equally vehemently - over the drug to choose.

I am currently in school for Acupuncture, so every western option that I've read about so far seems like a relatively painful crap shoot. I know from past experience that my Acupuncturist in SF was able to relieve my ovarian pain, severe menstrual cramps, headaches, and depression (that seemed hormone related). There are Acupuncturists who specialize in fertility issues who probably see endometriosis issues regularly.

So: does anyone have any websites or books that they've found helpful as sources on endo(preventative) eating? Beyond the basics like 'caffiene exacerbates cramps' and 'calcium is a natural muscle relaxant', etc.

Thanks, good luck, Julia
