thank you

First, I wanted to say "thank you" to all the women out there posting messages. I have gained alot of information here. And thanks to all of you, I had the courage to go get a second opinion. My Dr., who I really like, I now realize wasn't really doing anything for me. My new Dr. listened to me, really listened, and gave me lots and lots of information, and several options as far as what to do next. He is concerned about all the abnormal bleeding I have (my other OB just blew it off without comment). I have horribly heavy periods where 2-3 days every month I can't leave the house. I bleed through everything, and pass clots of tissue the size of my palm. One month I woke up in the morning and had bled through the pad, underwear, and had blood down to the knees of my pajamas. I had an endometrioma removed last year- but since it was outside the muscle wall, they never looked inside to see what else was going on. I also had alot of adhesions removed after my 3rd c-section. I've been in pain pretty constantly since Christmas. My first OB wanted to give me lupron, but I can't afford it. Anyway, he then said to try Depo-Provera, or a Laparoscopy. My new Dr. gave me more options, and the pros and cons of Depo-Provera before surgery. After discussing all of it, and thinking it over, and discussing it with family, and thanks to all of you, I've decided to have the hysteroscopy with D&C and Laproscopy done, and the Depo-Provera shot afterward. The Dr. wants to take pictures so we can all see and understand what is going on, and biopsy the uterine tissue to make sure it's not cancer. And he does the surgery himself! I am soo happy I went for a second opinion. If this does not help, then my last option is hysterectomy. But at 35, no one wants to take both ovaries. The recommendation is to remove both , and no hrt for 6 months. Have any of you done this? How crazy will that make me?!!!
