Is it common

Is it common to get a lap done just 3 days after seeing the doctor? I have had other surgeries and have had to wait months except for the two emegency surgeries I had.

I didn't think much of it though really but people keep trying to make me believe that my situation must be urgent because the surgery is being done so quick. I figure if it were my doctor would have told me.

I am having a lap done for two reasons, one my doctor and I both think it is a good idea for me to get a tubal and two, to diagnose what is causing all of my problems. We both believe it is Endo but until Thursday we will not know for sure. He also found a cyst on my ovary. I have no idea what kind of cyst as he did not say.. could this be the reason for the rush?

Also he mentioned because of all my pain, symptoms, problems etc that I may need a vaginal hysto. He said the plan is to leave the ovaries. Are the results worth doing something that drastic? To me losing my uterus unless I REALLY have to is pretty drastic.

I won't even consider the hysto unless any results Thursday lead me to believe it is neccessary and will actually benifit me. I just don't believe in having anything done medically unless it is a must.

Also, is it common for them to not prescribe any drugs in my situation? I for one am really glad he did not prescribe any, and for that matter never discussed any. I keep reading how so many people are on this medicine or the other. I think I am lucky at this point that I am not. Could that change after the lap provided results actually verify Endo?

Sorry for the long post, but as you can see I have a lot of questions and can't seem to find answers.. oh Yeah one more question, is there bleeding from the vagina after a lap?

Thanks!!!
