Medicine 2From: Gena (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Jan 28 17:06:14 2003
Hey girls. My mom was actually the one who recommended the ultram and neurotin. She's an RN and had breast cancer. She still has chronic pain and that's what her DR gave her. So my Dr listened to her and thought it was worth a shot. One warning tho' Like all of you I'm sure-- I hate taking medicine and I was feeling so great I decided to cut back on the rec dose. I think I did it too soon b/c the pain came back today w/ a vengeance. SO I've started back up on the reg dose and wait a few weeks and slowly start to come off. I'll let you know how it goes. For Lauren the reason why some feel the neurotin will help with endo is b/c the endo will sometimes grow on or around the nerves so b/c (like kristy said) the neurotin blocks the message of pain from those nerves it give you pain relief. It worked for me once I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be up and around again, b/c I felt relief after the 2nd dose last time. Praying for it anyway. Gena
