Question re: EndoWalk for Awareness

Hello, Since a lot of links on the topic pointed to this forum, I was wondering if anyone here could help w/some questions about the EndoWalk for Awareness.

I went to the first one a couple years ago and it was really nice. At the time, the Walk was something that was organized by "five women with Endometriosis" who were independent of any Endo organizations...that's what made it so nice; there was no affiliation and anyone who was interested could participate. Now the website, which was shut down for a while, points directly to the EA...the buzz I'm hearing in the online community is that it's now an EA event and has been since the second year. I had no idea.

I am not an EA member and prefer to stay independent of any organizations. Does anyone know why the EA now "owns" an event that was supposed to be a non-organizational awareness effort for everyone to participate in? And yes, I did ask the EA this several times but have never received a reply.

Thanks for any and all insight, Kristin Carver
