I too have had reoccuring bartholin cysts 6 to be exact. I had them cut and drained and a word catherter put in once. That didnt work though and the procedures were extremely painful. Just recently I had the marsuplization, where the doctor sewed the skin back to allow the cyst to drain on its own, she also removed half of the cyst wall. It still hurts from time to time. I also started taking Flax Seed Oil. It has made a huge difference. I would exaust every avenue before having the whole gland removed.
