Re: Back too soon!!!!!!!From: Anonymo (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Jan 21 14:33:20 2003
Mine has not come back and it has been two years. I think it depends a lot on how good your surgeon is -- how experienced he or she is at removing endo. I would suggest seeing an endo specialist, or an experienced laparoscopic surgeon. Endo really should not and does not need to come back that soon. Oh, also, I followed my surgery with a 3 month course of continuous birth control pills. So that may also be an important factor. Did you take birth control pills after either of your sugeries? Oh, and one more thought. A lot of time women think endo has returned when it is actually adhesions or scar tissue formed from the surgery. This, again, has a lot to do with how good your surgeon is, and can also be prevented many times by using an adhesion barrier.
